What "Taobao spreadsheet" actually means in 2026
The term "Taobao spreadsheet" started inside the FashionReps community on Reddit around 2018. Users discovered a small number of trusted Taobao sellers for replica goods, then shared the seller links in a Google Sheet so the next person did not have to start from zero. Each verified link saved hours of searching and avoided the dead-link problem that plagues casual seller lists.
By 2020 the spreadsheets had grown to thousands of links. Each major Taobao agent. CNFans, Superbuy, Sugargoo, and at the time Pandabuy — began maintaining its own version. The reason is mechanical: a Taobao seller link looks like item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=..., but to actually purchase that item from outside China you need to route the link through an agent.
